Russia slams EU sanctions renewal as "blackmail"

Russia has strongly criticized the European Union for extending anti-Moscow sanctions over the rejoining of Crimea to its terrority last March.
Russia’s Foreign Ministry has described the move as blackmail and says Moscow will not be pressured into returning Crimea to Ukraine. The Ministry's statement says it’s time to recognize this as a fact that cannot be changed with methods of QUOTE economic and political blackmail. The statement further said sanctions have no prospects and their extension is discrimination and an instance of collective punishment of nations.
